La Pelosa (Stintino)
With its turquoise-blue water and fine white sand, La Pelosa is without a doubt the most famous beach in northern Sardinia. When you arrive in Stintino, you will feel as if you have landed on some distant, exotic Caribbean island. But be aware: since 2020 access to the beach has been limited to a set number of visitors, and you need to book your spot in advance via the dedicated app.
2. Ezzi Manu (Stintino)
The perfect destination for those seeking secluded, evocative places. Not far from Stintino lies Ezzi Mannu beach, with small white pebbles and clear turquoise water. Surrounded by vegetation-covered dunes, this spot is immersed in unspoilt nature.
3. Porto Ferro (Alghero)
About 30 minutes from Alghero hides this wonderful wild bay, an absolute paradise for surfers. Beginners will appreciate the “Bonga Bonga” surf school. The fine sand slopes gently into crystal-clear water. At the lower end of the beach stand a Saracen tower and old fortifications from the Second World War.
4. Li Cossi (Costa Paradiso)
In the Gallura region you will find this gorgeous, romantic cove tucked away among pink granite rocks — one of the most beautiful and fascinating beaches in the north of Sardinia. You can reach it along a panoramic path with breathtaking views. The whole area is well known among diving and snorkelling enthusiasts.
5. La Marinedda (Isola Rossa)
The lovely La Marinedda beach, with its white sand dunes, is framed by red granite cliffs and is a favourite destination for surfers — an international surfing competition is held here every year at the end of August. Right on the beach you will find two bars that serve excellent food at lunchtime.
6. Monti Russu (Vignola Mare)
A somewhat isolated beach, and therefore less crowded. A paradise for those seeking rest and quiet. The only minor drawback is parking, as free spots in the area are scarce.
7. Naraccu Nieddu (Aglientu)
Also known as Lu Litarroni. A magnificent wild beach that is definitely worth a visit. Leave your car in the paid car park and take the path that leads through a large pine grove. Above the beach there is a charming kiosk equipped with hammocks, where you can relax in the shade of the pines. Naraccu Nieddu is a long beach of fine white sand and truly has something for everyone. You will also find a Dog Beach here, where dogs are welcome (they are banned from most Sardinian beaches). At the very end of the beach there is an area set aside for those who like to swim in their birthday suit.
8. Rena di Ponente (Capo Testa)
Rena di Ponente is a long beach sheltered from the wind and known for its fine white sand. It offers a crystal-clear sea with iridescent colours ranging from turquoise blue to emerald green. The water deepens gradually, making it ideal for small children. Lovers of long, relaxing walks along the shore will be in their element here.
9. Cala Brandinchi (Olbia)
One of the most beautiful beaches in northern Sardinia — a true natural saltwater pool in the colours of a Caribbean beach. This beach definitely deserves your attention. Skip it only if you are after complete privacy, because it is always busy here.
10. Cala Corsara (Arcipelago della Maddalena, Isola Spargi)
The rocky island of Spargi will delight you with several beaches where the sea deepens gently. It can only be reached by boat. Cala Corsara is a magical, crystal-clear cove hidden behind granite rocks.
