Whenever Sardinia’s finest beaches are discussed, La Pelosa is almost always near the top of the list. Located close to Stintino in the north-west of the island, it is famous for transparent water, shallow seabeds and exceptionally pale sand.

A landscape that has become a symbol of Sardinia

The sixteenth-century Torre della Pelosa stands directly in front of the beach, with Isola Piana and Asinara visible beyond it. The calm turquoise water resembles a tropical lagoon, even though you are in the Mediterranean.

Access and rules

During the summer season, access is regulated and advance booking is required. Visitors must also place a mat beneath their towel to protect the sand. Arrive early and always check the current rules before your visit.

La Pelosa deserves its reputation, but nearby beaches such as Ezzi Mannu, Le Saline and Pazzona also offer beautiful water and often more space.
